Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging
The American Institute of Architects, as part of the global community, is building a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion within the profession of architecture to create a better environment for all. Achieving this vision has a direct impact on the relevance of our profession and the world's prosperity, health, and future.
AIA has released the Guides for Equitable Practice, published by its Equity and the Future of Architecture Committee (EQFA) and the University of Minnesota. This publication is a vital part of AIA’s long-term commitment to lead efforts that ensure the profession of architecture is as diverse as the nation we serve.
These guides will help you make the business and professional case for ensuring that your organization meets the career development, professional environment, and cultural awareness expectations of current and future employees and clients.

The AIA Central Kentucky Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (E.D.I.) Committee provides programming, volunteer, and community engagement opportunities in an effort to increase diversity, create equity, and encourage inclusivity in our profession, chapter, and practices and take a stand in support of social justice in our community.
We meet frequently and dedicate time and energy to promoting, advocating, and creating opportunities for greater equity, diversity and inclusiveness in the practice of architecture.
