​Rolf Provan had commissioned David Biage 17 years prior to design his home. He even bought a site but then had to sell it because he could not get approval for the home on that site.

After the new location in Goshen was found, Rolf and his wife, Yamilca, reached back out to David who further developed the plans to fit the site.

Over the intervening years, the clients needs had changed. They still wanted a modern space and open floor plan, but now needed three bedrooms instead of two. Accessibility was critical for their son who has special needs.

They also wanted more wood in the exterior to reflect the surroundings. Rolf had done his research. He knew he wanted to make the house energy efficient (geothermal and photovoltaic). Everything down to the light fixtures and faucets were intentional. Green features were added which reduced their electric bill dramatically.
