We are now taking applications for AIA Associate Grants for the year 2010.

This is a continuation of a successful program, to get Architectural Interns and Associate Architects active in the Central Kentucky Chapter.  For those not familiar with the program, each year the AIA/CKC pays the membership costs for up to ten people to become Associate AIA members.  We simply ask the grant recipients to be active in the chapter for the year the chapter pays for their membership. Of course we hope they continue their activity in future years and become the next generation of chapter leadership.

AIA Associate grant recipients are asked to serve on one or more of the following committees:  Trade Fair, Programs, IDP, Website Development, Newsletter, Architects in Education, House Tour, and Disaster Assistance.

Additionally ALL grant recipients will be expected to help on the day of the Trade Fair in February and the day of the House Tour.

AIA members, please pass this on to the Architectural Interns and Associates in your office or elsewhere and encourage them to get involved. Applicants are asked to fill out the attached form and return it to Stephen Gravatte, AIA.

Applications may be returned by email, fax or regular mail before Thursday December 31, 2009.

Only ten AIA Associate Grants will be awarded, so submit your application as soon as possible. We will award all grants before the first of the year.
